Nobles and Ladies
As we are about to start summer, the Club is celebrating the first half of the year with a special salute to our Ladies on Wednesday June 28th.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Club now has a third Vice President. Noble Jim Hemlin has agreed to take on the responsibility of this important office and will be looking after the chocolate sales. We congratulate Jim and welcome him to the 2017 Executive Committee. Both Noble Jim and Lady Joan have been very active with the Shrine Club in Ottawa and are bringing a wealth of experience to the Belleville Shrine Club.
By the time you read this bulletin, the Spring Ceremonial in Collingwood will be history and many of us will have had the opportunity of enjoying the fellowship of many Shriners from around the province. Our thanks go to everyone who could be there to make a great showing for the Belleville and District Shrine Club.
At the Dinner Meeting in May, the general membership voted to change the name of our club to ‘THE BELLEVILLE AND DISTRICT SHRINE CLUB’. Having gone through the proper protocol, Rameses Divan has approved the change which now can be used as required, with a public announcement to follow in September.
During this summer, there will be a lot of celebrations and parades where we can have fun. As Canada is celebrating it’s 150th birthday, please come out and join the Canada Day Parade in Marmora: walk, ride or just be there to enjoy. We have been invited to join the fun at the ‘Elvis Festival’ parade on Saturday, 26th of August, in Tweed and we plan to participate in the parade at the Marmora Fair on Saturday, 2nd September.
We talk a lot about having fun at the Shrine Club and how we can all help to make it happen. Here are some simple tips for having fun:
• Be ‘NOBLE’ in all our undertakings
• Focus on the Goals of the Belleville Shrine Club.
• Give credit to everyone who is contributing – even in a small way
• Listen to other’s and look for new and ‘out-of-the-box’ ideas
• Use positive Words and provide positive Actions which motivate
• Remember positive Thinking brings positive Results.
Lady Celine and I wish you a very safe and happy summer, and may we all come back healthy and rested to have fun at the Club.

Ambassador’s Message :
Nobles and Ladies
I bring you greetings from our Illustrious Potentate, David Rawn, and the Divan of the Rameses Shrine Center.
My thanks to our President Noble Jack Hellberg for driving three of our Special Ladies to the Rameses Shrine Center in Toronto last Sunday, for the annual “Special Ladies Luncheon”. Unfortunately, two of our Ladies had to cancel out. This event was very well attended by Special Ladies throughout Rameses with a great lunch provided along with very enjoyable entertainment by “Par Three”.
I trust we will have a good turnout for The Belleville and District Shrine Club at the Spring Ceremonial in Collingwood.
At our June Dinner Meeting, we will be honouring our Special Ladies. There will be very little business and special entertainment will be provided. Nobles please bring your Lady and come out and support “Your Club” for the last meeting prior to the summer break.
To all Nobles and Ladies, have a safe and happy summer.
I encourage anyone requiring more information on any Rameses function or event to contact me.
Yours in the faith, Having Fun and Helping Children,
